At first glance, the work of Susan Disley and Angela Verdon could hardly be more dissimilar, Disley producing hand-built forms in stoneware, Verdon creating monumental objects in bone china. Yet, while working in completely different materials and processes, they share a concern with quality and, in an oblique way, natural form, each pursuing their ideas with similar vigour and tenacity.
